The National Association of Surety Bond Producers (NASBP) recently developed a new website that offers an online course and a repository of other valuable information to help small and emerging contractors start the bonding process.
The website, www.suretylearn.org, helps small and emerging contractors learn more about the basics of bonding and educates emerging construction business owners about achieving surety credit, as well as the specific steps they need to take to enter into surety credit relationships. Resources on the site include: a link to an online bonding orientation course; informative articles, checklists, questionnaires; links to government agencies and pertinent assistance programs; and a directory of service providers who specialize in serving these contractors.
